BUG: Linked Word Document Doesn't Update ProperlyID: Q125006 The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen a Word 6.0 for Windows document is linked to a FoxPro general field, modifications to the original Word for Windows document do not appear in the general field.
CAUSEThe modifications to the original Word for Windows document occurred after its original end-of-file marker. Modifications before the original end-of- file marker are properly displayed in the FoxPro general field.
RESOLUTIONManually relink the general field to the Word for Windows document.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
