XL: Automatic Print Area Extended When Cells Justified

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, when you justify a cell so that the information in the cell is several lines high, blank cells are printed to the right of the page.

WORKAROUND

To resolve this problem, do the following to set a print area:

  1. From the File menu, choose Page Setup, and select the Sheet tab.

  2. In the Print Area box, type in the range of cells that you want to print.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
