The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Function Wizard to paste a user-defined function in a cell, that function may be pasted in a different worksheet and cell than the one you selected.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when the function requires at least one argument and the last argument entered points to a cell on a sheet other than the active sheet. This problem occurs only when the Function Wizard is used to insert the function and you use the mouse to specify the last argument.
WORKAROUNDTo insert a function that has a cell reference located on another sheet for its last argument, do one of the following:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Excel listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been corrected in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows.
