Word Under Windows NT Prints to Wrong Printer |
Q126247
Word version 6.0 for Windows running under Windows NT may print to the
wrong printer or use the wrong settings after you choose a different
printer or different printer options.
For example, if you choose Print from the File menu, choose the Printer
button, and then select a completely different printer, Word ignores your
changes and uses the previously selected printer. Similarly, if you choose
different options for the current printer, such as Duplex or a different
tray, Word prints as if you had not made any changes.
However, the next time you print, Word will use the changes you made and
will print correctly.
This problem does not occur with Microsoft Word for Windows NT.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Method 1: Make the changes you want, and choose the Use As Default button.
Method 2: Print the document a second time. Word will use the printer
information you selected most recently.
