SGML: First Character of Button Text Missing

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

The first character of button text is missing from your buttons. For example, the Heading 1 button displays as "eading 1" (without the quotation marks).


CAUSE

You are using a Video Seven video driver.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SGML Author for Word, version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.


RESOLUTION

Change your video driver to the Windows standard VGA driver.
