SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, when you view a Gantt chart in print preview or when
you print it, the bars are not aligned horizontally with the table, and, in
some cases, task bars are missing from the bottom of the Gantt chart.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when you format tasks directly (rather than by
category) on rows where the row height is greater than 1.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use category formatting to change font
attributes (such as font sizes). For example, use the Text Styles command (on the Format menu) to change the style for an entire category of text rather than changing individual entries by choosing the Font command from the Format menu.
NOTE: If bars have been formatted individually, you must reset the
formatting before the workaround will take effect. Select all of the
tasks in the project. From the Format menu, select Bar. Click on the Reset button.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
