Carriage Return Required After Last Entry in OS/2 HOSTS File

SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to connect to a host, the following error message appears:
DGN0217 - Remote name cannot be resolved
CAUSE
Each entry in the HOSTS file on an OS/2 LM2.2 client must be terminated
by a carriage return. If there is no carriage return after the last entry
in the HOSTS file, the name is not properly resolved.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in LAN Manager version 2.2.
We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, press ENTER after adding the last entry to the
HOSTS file.
