PRJ4: Accent Circumflex (^) in Task or Filename Causes GP Fault |
Q127175
If a project's filename or the task name in a project contains an accent
circumflex (^), you may receive a general protection (GP) fault in Microsoft Project.
If the task name contains an accent circumflex, you may receive a GP fault
when you choose the Set Reminder command (from the Tools menu, choose Workgroup, and then choose Set Reminder) or when you choose the Set Reminder tool on the Workgroup toolbar.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
Although the accent circumflex is a control character, when it's used in a filename it is considered to be a valid MS-DOS character.
