WRK DocErr: Incorrect Location for RAS NetBIOSGateway Entries

Last reviewed: March 20, 1995
Article ID: Q127820
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit version 3.5

The Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit incorrectly documents the location for the Remote Access Service (RAS) NetBIOSGateway registry entries on page 523 of Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit Volume 1: Windows NT Resource Guide as:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
      \CurrentControlSet\Services\RemoteAccess\Parameters

The above location is correct only for the AutoDisconnect entry. The remaining entries are located in the following subkey:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
      \CurrentControlSet\Services\RemoteAccess\Parameters\NetBIOSGateway

NOTE: Under Windows NT version 3.1 the AutoDisconnect entry is located under the NetBIOSGateway subkey since Windows NT 3.1 RAS has only the NetBIOS gateway facility.
