Buttons/Dialogs/Views Appear Incorrectly Using Two Monitors

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you move any of the above items from the 256 color monitor to the black and white monitor. This behavior occurs with elements that are 3D or grey. For example, when you move a toolbar from a 256 color monitor to a black and white monitor, the buttons on a toolbar appear black. If you move the toolbar so that it is on both screens, the portion of the toolbar on the 256 color monitor appears correctly, but the portion on the Black and White monitor is displayed with black buttons.

Additionally, if you start your Macintosh with the black and white monitor as the primary monitor, when you move a toolbar to the 256 color monitor, the buttons appear partially in color; however, they are not displayed in 3D.

Note that this behavior does not occur in Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh.
