SUMMARYThe Microsoft Network icon that appears on your computer's desktop does not appear in the Desktop folder in Windows Explorer. The Microsoft Network icon is not in the Desktop folder because the icon is created using a registry key, not a file. This is similar to the method used to create the My Computer, Network Neighborhood, and Recycle Bin icons, which also do not appear in the Desktop folder.
