MPRJ4: Button on Microsoft Toolbar Does Not Start Application |
Q128649
In Microsoft Project, when you click a button on the Microsoft toolbar,
your computer may beep, and the application associated with that button may
not start.
NOTE: You do not receive an error message indicating why the
application did not start.
This behavior may be cause by one of the following:
where <application> is the application that you are trying to run. There is not enough memory to run <application>
-or-
To start an application while in the low memory situation, you must close an application that is currently running to free up enough memory to run the Microsoft application.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
Additionally, if you click a button from the Microsoft Toolbar in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel, you receive one of the following error messages if there is not enough available memory to start the application:
Word could not locate or start '<application>'
Cannot run '<application>'. Either you are out of memory, or the application is missing.
