SYMPTOMS

When you enter a new finish date on a split in-progress task, the duration and finish date for the task are recalculated incorrectly.

In Microsoft Project version 3.0, the following message is generated:

Late date before scheduled date. The task cannot be completed in the time allocated.

STATUS
