Introduction

This Workgroup Message Handler is designed for users who are running Microsoft Windows 3.x and Lotus cc:Mail version 2.2, Lotus Notes Mail version 3.3, Microsoft Mail, or Microsoft Exchange.

Who Should Use This Setup Program

You should use this Setup program if your computer is running Microsoft Windows 3.x or Microsoft Windows for Workgroups version 3.x and you want to have workgroup functionality with users who are running Windows 95/98. Specifically, use this Setup program if either of the following is true:

You are a resource (and you are not running Microsoft Project), and you will be receiving workgroup messages from users who are running Microsoft Project version 4.1 for Windows 95.

You are running Microsoft Project 4.0 and you will be sending workgroup messages to a resource who is also receiving workgroup messages from users running Microsoft Project 95. For example:

The resource is receiving messages from two different people: Manager A, who is running Microsoft Project 4.0, and Manager B, who is running Microsoft Project for Windows 95, version 4.1. (Note that both the resource and Manager A should run the enclosed Setup program.)

NOTE: If you are running Microsoft Windows 95/98 or Microsoft Windows NT you should run the Workgroup Setup program (Wgsetup.exe) located on the Microsoft Project 4.1 Setup Disk 1. Wgsetup.exe installs the necessary files regardless of the e-mail program you are running. For more information about Wgsetup.exe, see the Setup.wri file located on the Microsoft Project 4.1 Setup Disk 1.

To Run the Setup Program

Quit Microsoft Project.

If you received a disk with this Application Note, insert the disk in the appropriate floppy disk drive. If you downloaded this Application Note from an online service, skip to step 3. This procedure assumes that you have already downloaded and extracted the compressed file.

In File Manager, click Run on the File menu, and then type the following and press ENTER
```
      <source>\wfwsetup 
```
where <source> is either your floppy disk drive or the folder (directory) containing the file you downloaded from online services. For example, if you are installing from a floppy disk that you inserted in drive A, you would type:
```
      a:\wfwsetup 
```
Or, for example, if you downloaded the Wp1250.exe file from an online service to C:\Download, you would type:


      c:\download\wfwsetup
