SYMPTOMSIf you start Windows 95 in safe mode and then try to connect to The Microsoft Network, you receive the following error message:
Your modem (or other connecting device) is not functioning. CAUSEWhen you start Windows 95 in safe mode, the path to The Microsoft Network is not set up.
RESOLUTIONTo connect to The Microsoft Network, restart Windows 95 normally.
