Word for NT Prints Slowly When Project Is Minimized

SYMPTOMS

When you print a document from Word for Windows NT while Microsoft Project is minimized, the document will print very slowly.


STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.


WORKAROUND

To speed the printing process, disable the background printing option in Word. To do this:

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Options.


  2. Select the Print Tab.


  3. Clear the Background Printing check box.


  4. Choose OK.
