SYMPTOMS
========

When installing Publisher 2.0 or 2.0a from floppy disks, you may receive
the following error:

   Setup Failure - cannot load zoomfnt.fon

This error causes Setup to terminate without completing.

CAUSE
=====

The cause of this error is a boot sector virus on the computer. If the
virus attacks any of the boot sector files, or any of the files with .exe,
.com, or .386 file extensions, this will prevent the installation of
Microsoft Publisher.

RESOLUTION
==========

You will not be able to complete Setup for Microsoft Publisher if there is
a boot sector virus. This has been confirmed with several different boot
sector viruses.

The virus infects all the disks up to Disk 4, where the failure occurs. The
infected disks should not be used on any other machine, as that would
transfer the virus. Virus protection software that removes the virus will
not fix them. Replacement disks will be required to successfully install
Microsoft Publisher.

Do not try to reinstall Publisher using new disks until the computer has
been cleaned of all viruses.
