PRB: Project Reports Corrupt Status Files with Delta

SYMPTOMS

When Joining a Project, inconsistent data may have been written to the status file for <filename>.

CAUSE

This is caused by a corrupt STATUS.MVM file. The STATUS.MVM file is located in the [server\share]\<master root>\STAT\<project name> directory.

RESOLUTION

If subsequent commands indicate the status file has become corrupt, have the project administrator restore a backup copy of the status file. After backing up the current STATUS.MVM file, copy STATBAK.MVM into a new STATUS.MVM.
