SYMPTOMS

When you are sharing resources from another file and when you use any of the edit functions such as Copy and Paste to copy the Base Calendar field in the resource sheet to another row, the default Standard Rate and Overtime Rate field data comes from the resource pool file. This behavior occurs even if the default Standard and Overtime Rates in the current project are different from the resource pool rates.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, use any of the following methods:

Method 1

Do not use the commands on the Edit menu to copy the Base Calendar information to another row.

Method 2

After you copy the Base Calendar field, copy both the Standard Rate and the Overtime fields and paste them to the new resource.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
