Windows Media Player Does Not Support Tab Control

SYMPTOMS

You cannot use the TAB key to select the toolbar buttons in Windows Media Player. If you do not have a mouse connected to your computer, you have limited functionality in Media Player.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the top of this article.

Media Player has keyboard commands for the following functions:
   Function         Keyboard Command
   ---------------------------------
   Play/Pause       CTRL+P
   Stop             CTRL+S
   Play Selection   CTRL+Q
   Forward          Right arrow key
   Reverse          Left arrow key
				

Media Player also has toolbar buttons for Play Selection Up and Play Selection Down. However, there are no keyboard commands for these functions.

Media Player also does not specify the keyboard commands in the online Help file.
