Mac Encarta 95: Can Not Find Articles in Word Search

SYMPTOMS

When you try to search for articles in Encarta, the word Pinpointer does not find the articles.

This problem occurs when you try to search using words that begin with quotation marks or dashes. Additionally, if the words in the articles you are searching for contain quotations or dashes, these articles will not be listed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Encarta for the Macintosh, 1995 edition. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

WORKAROUND

To avoid the problem, do not use quotations or dashes as part a search in Encarta Pinpointer.
