SYMPTOMS
The error "File or Project not Found" occurs when adding or renaming
a file on Windows NT that has more than 32 characters in the filename.
CAUSE
SourceSafe can't handle filenames that have more than 32 characters.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This bug was corrected in Visual SourceSafe version 4.0.
