SYMPTOMS

When you schedule a project from the finish, you may receive the following message:

Late date before scheduled date

This error message occurs if you use certain combinations of resource work and resource units (usually small values).

NOTE: You may also receive this message when you schedule the project from the start with a task that has an "As Late As Possible" constraint.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
