SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Project with a master project and subproject, if the master project is scheduled from finish, but the subproject is scheduled from the start, you may receive a general protection (GP) fault or your computer may stop responding (hang) when you edit the subproject.

NOTE: Another symptom of this problem may be incorrect calculation results.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
