SYMPTOMS

When a WordPerfect 5.x or 6.x for MS-DOS or Windows document containing printer command codes ([Ptr Cmd: ...]) is opened into Microsoft Word, the printer command fields and their contents are not retained.

CAUSE

This is a design limitation of the WordPerfect 5.x and 6.x converters for Word 6.0.

WORKAROUND

Reinsert the printer command codes into {PRINT} fields in Word following conversion.
