Screen Corruption When Editing Transparent Text Frames

Screen Corruption When Editing Transparent Text Frames

Q133013

-------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher for Windows, versions 2.0 and 2.0a -------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== When editing text in a transparent text frame, you may observe thin horizontal lines appearing on the screen. CAUSE ===== What you are seeing is sometimes referred to as "screen corruption." This particular corruption occurs when text is highlighted, edited, and then unhighlighted. The corruption may cause some text to appear as if it is underlined. It can occur on various video drivers, including VGA, and may occur at different zoom percentages. It is not, however, specific to either the zoom percentage or the video driver. The corruption as described above is part of the highlight bar that is left behind after Publisher updates the screen. It does not affect Publisher's documents or operations in any way. RESOLUTION ========== By forcing Publisher to redraw the screen, all corruption will disappear. To force a redraw, switch between Publisher and other application (using ALT+TAB), switch between pages, or switch between zoom percentages. Any action that causes Publisher to redraw the screen will remove any screen corruption that is currently onscreen. Additional query words: 2.00 2.00a pub20 pub20a
