BUG: SYS(2000,"customer.*") Makes FoxPro Exit to System PromptID: Q133060 The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSUsing SYS(2000,"customer.*") causes FoxPro for UNIX to exit to a UNIX system prompt under SCO Open Server Release 5.0 with SCO UNIX System V, version 3.2v5.0. NOTE: System V (Roman numeral five) is a specific line of UNIX, produced specifically by SCO.
RESOLUTIONApply the following patch to the foxpro.pr binary: 1. Log in to the SCO UNIX System as root. 2. Change directory to the directory containing the foxpro.pr binary file 3. Create a UNIX shell script called test that contains these lines:
4. Use chmod to add executable rights to the script file named test.
5. Type "sh <filename>" as root in the directory containing the binary STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
