SYMPTOMS
When you use the Microsoft Mouse driver version 9.x with some Microsoft
Office applications, the Snap-to feature may not work.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Snap-to feature in the Microsoft Mouse
driver versions 9.x is not supported in some of the dialog boxes in the
applications listed above. For example, when you click Options on the Tools
menu, the mouse pointer does not jump to the default button (the OK
button).
When you use the Snap-to feature with the Microsoft Mouse driver version
9.x under Windows 3.x, your mouse pointer jumps to the default button when
you open a dialog box.
Note that the Snap-to feature does work in the New dialog box (File menu)
and the Properties dialog box (File menu) in the Microsoft Office
applications. Additionally, this feature also works in other Windows
applications, such as WordPad.
MORE INFORMATION
If you run the Setup program for the Mouse driver version 9.01, you receive
an error message indicating that because of the changes in Windows, the
Microsoft Mouse driver version 9.01 installation program may not work under
Windows 95.
