Error Connecting to Microsoft and NetWare Servers with Same Name

SYMPTOMS
If you already have a connection to a NetWare server from a Windows
for Workgroups 3.11 computer through the Gateway Service for NetWare (GSNW)
and attempt to connect to a Microsoft network computer with the same
computer name, the following error message appears:
Invalid Network Name
If you already have a connection to a Microsoft network computer and
attempt to connect to a NetWare server with the same computer name through
GSNW, the following error message appears on a computer running Windows for
Workgroups:
Invalid network resource specified.
Make sure you have a valid resource and
sufficient rights to continue.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when a NetWare server and a Windows NT Server have the
same computer name.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, change the Windows NT Server or the NetWare server
computer name.
