SYMPTOMS

After you double-click non-working time in the Gantt Chart, Microsoft Project may produce a general protection (GP) fault.

CAUSE

This problem occurs under the following conditions:

• The first file of a consolidated set of files uses a resource pool that is currently not in memory.

-and-

• You edit the consolidated project, and replace the first file in the consolidation list with another file that uses the same resource pool mentioned above (a resource pool that is not in memory).

-and-

• When you reconsolidate the file, you choose to add the resource pool into the consolidated project list.

-and-

• You select the Nonworking Time tab in the Timescale dialog box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
