The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSYou may have problems with a macro that references a defined name that is set to zero if your computer does not have a math coprocessor or if the math coprocessor is disabled. Instead of returning a zero, the defined name may return a negative number, such as -1.8E+308.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, define the name so that it references 0+0 or 0*1.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
