Restoring an SMS Server without a BackupArticle ID: Q134719Creation Date: 10-AUG-1995 Revision Date: 23-APR-1997
SUMMARY
To properly restore a Systems Management Server site server, you must have
a complete backup of all necessary components.
NOTE: To do this, follow the instructions in Appendix K of the "Systems
Management Server Administrator's Guide."
It is important to have a backup of the Windows NT registry. However, if
you have reinstalled Windows NT on your site server and do not have the
Systems Management Server registry keys saved, it is still possible to
restore the server if you have the original Systems Management Server
directory structure and database.
