SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft PowerPoint with virtual memory turned off in Windows 95, you may experience slow performance or receive memory-related error messages, similar to the following:
You do not have enough memory to perform this function.

RESOLUTION

Turn virtual memory on. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Quit any programs you have running.
  2. On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click the System icon.
  4. Click the Performance tab, and then click Virtual Memory.
  5. Click "Let Windows manage my virtual memory settings (recommended)" to select it.
  6. Click OK. Click Close.
  7. If you are prompted to restart Windows, click Yes.
