PRJ4: Duration of Linked Task Is Incorrect |
Q135012
kboleIn Microsoft Project, when you paste link information from one project to another, the duration may appear to be incorrect in the destination file.
This behavior occurs if the projects have different default duration units and duration fields have been paste linked.
To cause the receiving file to calculate the same duration as the source file, change the Show Duration In parameter to match that of the source file.
Microsoft Project uses the binary interchange file format (BIFF) to pass information when it creates or uses DDE or OLE links; the data contains only the duration number, not the unit identifier. The unit identifier, then, is chosen from the receiving file's Schedule Options.
