WD95: First Page Prints on Back of Last Page with Duplex

SYMPTOMS

When you use the duplex option to print multiple copies of a document that contains an odd number of pages, the first page of the second copy prints on the back of the last page of the first copy.

NOTE: If you have a non-PostScript (PCL) printer, this has been corrected in Word 97.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use appropriate method for your situation.

NOTE: Only case 2 (for non-postscript printers) has been corrected in Word 97. Case 1 still occurs.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the PostScript printer driver included with Windows 95. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
