SYMPTOMS
When you perform a local installation of Microsoft Office, the Make An
Appointment, Add A Task, and Add A Contact buttons on the Old Office
toolbar display the generic Windows icon instead of the appropriate
Schedule+ icon.
CAUSE
This problem occurs under Windows NT if you previously performed a Run From
Network Server or Run From CD installation of Microsoft Office and you
then removed this installation and performed the local installation of
Office.
When you remove Microsoft Office and then reinstall Microsoft Office, you
will have an Old Office toolbar available on the Shortcut Bar. This toolbar
is the Office toolbar that was used by your previous installation of
Office.
Under Windows NT, when the icon for an item on the Shortcut Bar is located
on a network drive or on a CD-ROM drive, the button displays the generic
Windows icon. If you remove a Run From Network Server or Run From CD
installation, and you then perform a local installation, the Office toolbar
no longer has this problem. However, the Old Office toolbar still
displays the generic Windows icons.
