SYMPTOMS
If a PowerPoint presentation or Word document that contains embedded
TrueType fonts is added as a section of a Microsoft Office Binder, the
embedded font information will be lost. When the section is opened in the
binder, a font substitution is made and a different typeface is
displayed.
CAUSE
Each section of a Microsoft Office Binder is an OLE object. OLE does not
support embedding fonts in an OLE object.
RESOLUTION
If you need to embed TrueType fonts in a PowerPoint or Word section of a
binder, use the following steps to save those sections out as separate
files:
- Activate the binder.
- Activate the appropriate section.
- On the Section menu, click Save As File.
- In the Save As dialog box, name the file and click Save.
