SUMMARY

This article lists fax drivers and products that have been tested with Microsoft Word 6.0.1 for the Macintosh.

MORE INFORMATION

Global Village TelePort and Global Village PowerPort

When you click the File menu, Word may produce a "Type 3" error or it may stop responding (hang) if you are using Global Village products and the Office 4.2x Update for Power Macintosh, but this is easily corrected by obtaining the updated extension.

MacComCenter and QuickLink II

Word acts as if it's spooling the information to the fax driver, but MacComCenter does not activate itself, and no fax is sent. Updating to 6.0.1 resolves the problem.

Prometheus MaxFax

When you send a fax from Word with Prometheus MaxFax, pages may fax blank or entirely black. Additionally, canceling from the fax's Address dialog box may cause Word to hang, crash, or "Unexpectedly Quit."

Delrina MacFax Pro

When you attempt to fax a document from Word version 6.0 for the Macintosh, the print job may spool, but nothing faxes. Updating to 6.0.1 resolves the problem. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
