SYMPTOMS

When you try to install or remove Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95, you may receive the following error messages:

Setup Error 943
Your Setup files may be damaged. Try restarting the Setup program.

Setup Error 723
The processing of top-level information has failed.

Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95 Setup was not completed successfully.

CAUSE

These error messages can occur if the Setup.stf file in the Program Files\Plus!\Setup folder is damaged or truncated.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

Delete the Program Files\Plus!\Setup folder.
Reinstall Microsoft Plus!
