SYMPTOMS
When you print a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) page that contains a
background image in Internet Explorer, the background image is not
printed.
CAUSE
The printing of background images is not supported in Internet Explorer.
RESOLUTION
Use either of the following methods:
- You may be able to work around this behavior by copying the image from
Internet Explorer to the clipboard. To do so, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN in
Internet Explorer. Then, open any program that supports pasting bitmap
images (such as Paint), paste the image into the program, and then
print the image.
- Obtain Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0. Internet Explorer 2.0
can print background images.
STATUS
This behavior no longer occurs in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0.
