XL7: AutoCalculate Is Not Shown After Canceling Map

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel, AutoCalculate may appear to be turned off after you
attempt to insert a map and then cancel the operation.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when you click Map on the Insert menu, drag the
mouse in the document to create a map, and cancel the dialog box that is
displayed. AutoCalculate will not be displayed in the status bar.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do either of the following:
- Press the ESC key after you cancel the map dialog box.
-or-
- Click anywhere in the document.

AutoCalculate is a new feature in Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version
7.0. AutoCalculate can be used to quickly get a total of the selected
cells; the total will be displayed at the bottom of your screen in the
Status Bar. AutoCalculate can also average the selected numbers or count
the entries by clicking the AutoCalculate area in the status bar with the
secondary mouse button.
