SYMPTOMS

If you open a Word for Windows 2.0 document that contains an envelope, and then save that file in any format other than text or a Microsoft Works format (including all MS-DOS, Windows, and Mac versions), Works stops responding (hangs).

RESOLUTION

To save the Word 2.0 file in a different format, you must first save it in a Microsoft Works format. Then, you can convert the newly saved file to any other format Works supports.
