SUMMARY

When you create a new Easy Format, you are allowed to enter a name of up to 255 characters. However, the name is truncated at 31 characters.

When you create a new Easy Format, the Easy Format name that you specify is stored in the Windows 95 Registry. The entry in the Registry is truncated to 31 characters.

NOTE: If you try to manually edit the Registry entry for the Easy Format name and increase its length beyond 31 characters, an illegal operation or invalid page fault error message will occur when you try to access the Easy Format command.
