------------------------------------------------------------------------- The information in this article applies to: - Microsoft Publisher for Windows 95, version 3.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SYMPTOMS ======== If you customize your Windows 95 desktop and make the scrollbars too small, you may not be able to read the text or use the buttons in Publisher's zoom and page controls. CAUSE ===== Publisher's zoom and page controls are on the same line (and the same size as) the horizontal scrollbar. When you make the scrollbar area smaller, the zoom and page controls are compressed, too. RESOLUTION ========== To change the size of your scrollbars: 1. Click the Windows Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel. 2. Double-click the Display icon. 3. Click the Appearance tab. 4. Click the scrollbar on the diagram (or select Scrollbar from the Item list). 5. Type a number in the scrollbar Size box. The Windows default is 16. If you set this below about 8 (this is partially dependent on your display resolution), you won't be able to use the zoom or page controls in Publisher. 6. Click the OK button at the bottom of the dialog box. Additional query words: 3.00 pub95 pub3 w_mspub mspub tiny scrunched text plus minus scroll bar
