NT Word Supplemental Converters Are Not Supported by Word 7.0

SUMMARY

Converters that are either supplied with Word for Windows NT or that are available on the Word for Windows NT Supplemental Conversion Disk are not supported for use with Word for Windows 95. The only converters available for use with Word for Windows NT that are not included with Word for Windows 95 are:
  • DisplayWrite versions 4v1, 4v2, and 5.0 (import only)
  • MultiMate 3.3, MultiMate Advantage, MultiMate Advantage II, and MultiMate 4.0
  • WordPerfect versions 4.1 and 4.2
  • Microsoft FoxPro 2.0 and 2.5 and other dBASE formats, versions II, III, and IV
The first three converters are included on the Word 6.0 for Windows NT Supplemental Conversion Disk. The Fox Pro/dBASE converter is available with the standalone version of Word or Windows 95; it is not included with Office for Windows 95. Fox Pro/dBASE ODBC drivers are, however, available for use with either Office for Windows 95 or Word for Windows 95.

Although converters designed for use with Word for Windows NT are 32-bit, similar to the converters that Word 7.0 uses, these converters have not been tested and approved for use with Word 7.0.
