How to Obtain IntelliPoint and IntelliType 1.1 Driver Updates

SUMMARY

Updated Microsoft IntelliPoint and IntelliType drivers are available to registered owners of the IntelliPoint 1.0 and IntelliType 1.0 software.

NOTE: If your Microsoft IntelliPoint version 1.1 installation disks are damaged, call the Microsoft Order Desk phone number listed above to obtain replacement disks.

The updated (version 1.1) drivers contain 16-bit and 32-bit components, making them compatible with all Microsoft operating systems (except Microsoft Windows 98).

To find your PID number, use the appropriate method for your operating system:

MS-DOS

1. Exit Windows (if it is running).



2. Put the IntelliPoint or IntelliType driver disk into a floppy disk drive, and then change to that drive letter.



3. Type "setup" (without the quotation marks), and then press ENTER.



4. In the first dialog box, choose Exit, and then press ENTER. Your PID number is shown in the next dialog box that appears on the screen.

Windows 3.x

1. Double-click the IntelliPoint Tools And Controls icon, or the IntelliType Manager icon, in the Microsoft Input Devices group in Program Manager.



2. On the Control menu (to the left of the title bar), click About. Your PID number is shown in the dialog box that appears on the screen.

Windows 95

1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Input Devices, and then click either IntelliPoint Tools And Controls or IntelliType Manager.



2. Right-click the title bar, and then click About. Your PID number is shown in the dialog box that appears on the screen.
