No Prompt to Replace Existing File When Using Shut Down |
Q136842
When you are using Microsoft Project and you have not yet saved the current
file, if you choose to shut down your computer from either Microsoft
Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows NT, and if you save the project over an
existing file, you will not be prompted that you are overwriting the file.
Normally, when Microsoft Project detects that a filename is already being
used, you are prompted with a message similar to the following:
You do not receive this error message when you initiate the system shutdown process.Replace existing PROJECT1.MPP?
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
