SYMPTOMS
After you run Microsoft Office for Windows 95 Setup to remove all
components of Microsoft Office, Setup prompts you to restart Windows 95
(you receive a dialog box asking you to either Restart Windows or Exit
Setup).
CAUSE
This problem occurs only when you run Setup from the shortcut on your hard
disk. When you run Setup from your hard disk, Microsoft Office for Windows
95 requires the system to be restarted so that Setup can remove a few
components that Microsoft Office for Windows 95 may have installed. These
components include, but are not limited to, the Microsoft Office Shortcut
Bar, and the Setup Program, either of which may be loaded in memory (if a
program is loaded in memory, Setup cannot delete it).
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, run Setup directly from the source (that is,
run it directly from the CD-ROM, disk, or the network disk drive).
