Can't Print with HP DeskWriter 310 Version 1.01 Driver

SYMPTOMS

When you print to the Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskWriter 310 inkjet printer with version 1.01 of the DeskWriter 310 printer driver, you may experience the following unexpected behavior:

You may receive various error messages when you click Page Setup or Print on the File menu.

-or-

Your printed output may be incorrect. You may receive the following error message when you click Page Setup on the File menu:

      There is not enough memory to complete the operation. Try closing
      other documents before trying again.
```

CAUSE

This problem occurs because version 1.01 of the DeskWriter 310 driver is incompatible with System 7.5.

WORKAROUND

If you are using System 7.5, 7.5.1, or a later version of the Macintosh operating system, you need to upgrade to a later version of the printer driver. For example, you should upgrade to the DeskWriter 300 Series 5.11 driver.
