SYMPTOMS

If both a Text field and a Notes field contain information, attempting to use the Clear All command on the Text field will remove information from both fields.

This behavior does not occur if the Notes field is cleared instead. The contents of the Text field will remain intact.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the Clear Contents command rather than the Clear All command, as follows:

Select the field you want to clear.
On the Edit menu, click Clear, and then click Contents.

Only the selected field will be cleared.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
